| EO Product Design, Manufacturing and Installation
Adaptive Optics Associates (AOA), a subsidiary of Northrop
Grumman, develops and produces Electro-Optical (EO) systems
for government and commercial customers with challenging performance
requirements.
AOA has manufactured EO systems for more than three decades.
The company has designed and produced a variety of laser beam
delivery and conditioning modules for semiconductor lithography
tools working at multiple ultraviolet (UV) wavelengths. With
minimal down time, these systems are designed to achieve exceptional
beam quality and reliability, based on their key features:
- “Copy-exact” manufacturing
- Particulate and molecular contamination control
- High-precision, kinematically mounted, replaceable modules
With broad EO design capabilities, AOA develops systems for
numerous government and commercial customers. The company’s
deep bench of talented engineers applies rigorous systems
engineering discipline to each new design and employs state-of-the-art
design tools:
- Optical design: CODE V®, ZEMAX®, and OSLO® software
- Mechanical design: AutoCAD® and SolidWorks® software
- Wavefront propagation simulation: BeamPROP™, IDL and WaveLab
software
- Deep- and near-infrared, visible and UV wavelength designs
- Athermal optical design – for diffraction-limited performance
over wide temperature ranges
- Fiber-optic assembly design
- Mil-Spec design
